
ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor Course (ACE GFI Course) is designed to provide theoretical knowledge and practical skills in preparation for a national certification exam in group fitness instruction. This program is created in collaboration with leading instructors who expertise crosses multiple modalities, the ACE group Fitness Instructor study experience is a practical, applied study experience designed to serve as a comprehensive resource for both new and veteran instructors.
Course Goals
- Differentiate the role of the GFI from other health and fitness professionals
- Prepare and implement exercise programming for the separate elements of a group fitness class
- Apply the principles of exercise science, human anatomy, and biomechanics to movement design and exercise instruction
- Identify the principles and methods of training for cardiorespiratory fitness, muscular strength and endurance, and flexibility
- Apply various teaching techniques and strategies to enhance exercise instruction in the group fitness setting and create memorable, inclusive movement experiences
- Demonstrate effective leadership skills
- Recognize the GFI’s role in participant safety, legal issues, and professional responsibility.
CPR Certification
If you do not have the valid Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate, please join us! We work closely with our CPR course provider to provide students with a heavily discounted course rate.
Group Fitness
This refers to general group fitness such as dance fitness and yoga. While the certifications for dance fitness and yoga cover the technical aspects of the respective fitness, they may not cover the theoretical aspects of the sport and exercise science. ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor (GFI) closes the gap for you to be fully qualified in Singapore.
