Standard First Aid (SFA)

The Standard First Aid (SFA) Course aims to equip participants with knowledge and skills in Standard First Aid, Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and the usage of Automated External Defibrillator (AED). It is structured in accordance to the guidelines and methodologies stipulated by the Singapore Resuscitation and First Aid Council (SRFAC). At the end of the course, the participants shall possess basic skills in performing first aids and Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to the casualties as well as operating the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) during emergency resuscitation.

To attend this course:

  • To be fit and healthy as this course consists of practical activities where the participants are required to get down to the floor.
  • The participants must not undergo any surgical operations in the past 90 days.

If the lecturer feels that any participants are unfit to perform the practical sessions, she or he may reject the participants to continue with the course.
